Publications Activities

At our July Executive Committee meeting, members of the outgoing and incoming committees identified potential publications initiatives. These include:

•             Expanding the focus of the Publications Board to include the interests of our international and practitioner audiences, as well as our diverse communities of practice.

•             Developing guidelines for assessing the publishability and archivability of SIGCHI’s conference papers.

•             Reviewing how well our key publications (interactionsand the CHI Conference Proceedings) are meeting the needs of the SIGCHI community.

•             Continuing to work with the ACM to ensure that appropriate multimedia publications are entered into the Digital Library.

To help us refine our list of goals and to set priorities, we will solicit additional input from our current Publications Board.
